Throughout the month of March, the students at Pinnacle Classical Academy had an opportunity to participate in a creative fundraiser called Stories for Scholarships. It was like a walk-a-thon, except instead of walking, the students read books that were appropriate for their particular reading level and collected pledges for the number of books he or she read in the month of March. The end result will be a party for all the students who participated, and all the money will go toward scholarships for next year.
Thursday I visited Pinnacle Classical Academy and found the elementary school buzzing with Valentine’s excitement. They were making Valentine’s crafts, playing Valentine’s games and sharing Valentine’s notes with all their schoolmates. And although I didn’t have a chance to visit the upper grade’s class, I hear they got to watch a movie and have a party of their own.
The semester ended with excitement as the last day, the day of the Christmas party, drew nearer. Despite the power outage, the party was fun and everyone left with smiles on their faces. Merry Christmas PCA! We’re looking forward to being back together again soon for a new semester!
