Happy New Year!
At Pinnacle Classical Academy we appreciate classical education so much that some people may think it is our end goal. While we value the classical learning style, we know it neither gives nor sustains life. So, looking to a new year, what do we put our hope in and teach our students to focus on? While upholding the importance of education, we also insist that it is simply a means to glorify God! This is the end goal and ultimately the only “new year’s resolution” needed. Teachers are encouraged to point to Jesus as often as they can during class. Mr. Bailey reminded the teachers to intentionally integrate Biblical Truth into the material so that the students would recognize Christ as Lord over all. He also admonished the teachers to model prayer before each class to further demonstrate our dependency on God in order to reach the end goal. The staff as a whole rejoices in the gracious opportunity to know Christ and to make Him known, as we look forward to what the Lord has prepared for us.
With the new year comes new things for PCA, such as a new enrollment season and the plan to add a ninth grade in the Fall. Other exciting events for Spring include Easter weekend, Greekfest, and Spring Recitation. Looking forward to these, we know that neither the might of the teachers nor the brains of the students but the faithfulness of God will bring them to pass. The school would not thrive without the Lord’s faithfulness. We know experientially that it is He and not ourselves who does this; because Scripture tells us, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful for He cannot deny himself.”
In 2014 we are looking forward to many things, but our prayer is that we will continually look toward the One who is faithful in all things.
